«The lyrics tell the story of two people who are so lost in each other that they can get through the hardest of storms without ever noticing them.

Om sangen sier han: «I started writing it in 2018, when I was on holiday with my girlfriend in Sardinia, and sort of left it there. But this year, with all that’s happening and the world being such a strange place, somehow those lyrics resonated back with me. And the fact that I felt so lucky to find comfort in my own little corner, far out in the middle of the Atlantic. The lyrics tell the story of two people who are so lost in each other that they can get through the hardest of storms without ever noticing them.”

«I’ve always dreamt of having a music video that would show the world the place where I was lucky enough to grow up».

Om musikkvideoen til «Setting Sun» sier Cristóvam:

«I’ve always dreamt of having a music video that would show the world the place where I was lucky enough to grow up. I’m talking about the beautiful Azorean islands. When we started thinking about making a video for this song I felt like this was the right time to do it. It naturally occurred to me to speak with long time friend and director Pedro Varela to be the man directing it. Varela did the Andrà Tutto Bene video and he is also responsible for directing the multi-awarded Visit Portugal videos. So I knew he would capture the things that make these islands so unique. The film features actress Joana de Verona and was shot in september throughout the 9 islands of the Azorean archipelago. With an incredible support from the Azorean Government I think we managed to make a memorable film that we are all very proud of”.
