Igorrr, Amenra and Der Weg Einer Freiheit at Vulkan Arena: 5/6Karakter 5
Right when Easter holiday had started and Inferno was about to take place, Igorr and its notable support acts played at Vulkan Arena on April 5th.

lt was an electrifying event that showcased four diverse bands – Hangman’s Chair, Der Weg Einer Freiheit, Amenra, and Igorrr.

The headlining act, Igorrr, brought their unique blend of black metal, doom metal, and electronic music to the sold-out venue, captivating the audience from start to finish.

Dark brooding sounds

Low to no light on stage fulfilled the dark ambient sound of Amenra.

Unfortunately I’ve missed the first act of the show, so my evening began with a powerful performance by Der Weg Einer Freiheit, who played a mix of atmospheric black metal and doom metal. Their haunting melodies and heavy riffs set the tone for the rest of the night.

Next up was Amenra, who delivered a mesmerizing set of post-metal and doom metal. Their performance was both intense and introspective, with the band members fully immersed in their music. The audience was enraptured by the band’s raw emotion and dark, brooding sound. Low to no light on stage fulfilled the dark ambient sound of Amenra.

Unique blend

Having amazing soprano vocals of talented Marthe Alexandre added so much to the craziness (and randomness) of Igorrr’s sound.

Finally, Igorrr took the stage and completely blew the crowd away with their unique blend of electronic music, black metal, and doom metal. The band’s frontman, Gautier Serre, put on a mesmerizing show, jumping between instruments and seamlessly blending genres.

Overall, it was a stunning display of talent and creativity, showcasing the diversity of the metal genre. The dark, ambient atmosphere of the show perfectly matched the music, creating an immersive experience.
